Rachack (רח"ק) is the abbreviation of my Hebrew name, Reuven Chaim Klein (ראובּן חיים ק ליין). I am classified as many people as an "Ultra-Orthodox Jew", although I identify myself as simply a Jew. Rachack is my main handle for usernames and email addresses on the internet, although I sometimes use other usernames (such as TheRachack, IAmRachack, and Anakin9000), and sometimes people misspell my name (commonly misspelled as Rachak, Ratchick, Rachaq, Rakhaq). Many of the aspects of my personal life and background can be neatly fit into a pre-made Userboxes, which you can find on my Wikipedia profile. For a deeper understanding of who I am, one must look beyond those profiles that are linked to on the left and must actually know me (or follow me around) for a substantial amount of time . To email me, one can send a message to Rachack @at@ futurecities .dot. com or to Yeshivish @at@ gmail .dot. com
Although I lack many basic oratory skills (meaning I suck at public speaking), I pride myself on my self-proclaimed "awesome" writings. These writings include reflections on popular secular literature (mostly compiled from my High School era), thoughts on Jewish life, culture, Torah, hashkafah (Jewish outlook), and current events, sprinkeled with a little bit of fiction (although I haven't really concentrated on fiction since before my teen years).
Since 2004, I have been on and off researching my family's genealogy. I am proud to say that I am a descendant of Rabbeinu Elchanon, Rabbi Moshe Isserles (1530-1572), Rabbi Yoel Sirkis (1561-1640), Rabbi Dovid HaLevi Segal (1586-1667), Rabbi Elimelech of Lezhinsk (1717-1786), and of course, my namesake's namesake, Rabbi Reuven Chaim Klein (1826-1873). |
